Conductors
Clancy Weeks, D.M.A.

Dr. Weeks has studied conducting with Gary Sousa (currently the Director of Instrumental Music at the University of Tennessee), and conducted in workshops under the watchful eyes of such noted directors as Jerry Junkin, Mallory Thompson, H. Robert Reynolds, Richard Floyd, Kevin Sedatole, and Larry Rachliff just to name a few. He has taught band at every level from 6th grade through high school, 2A through 5A, and has had successful programs at each of those levels.
His compositional style is decidedly tonal, with an eye towards craftsmanship and playability, and his works have been commissioned by a growing number of Texas bands. Rhythmic variety—including offset rhythmic patterns, unusual accents, and multiple meters—is a trademark of his latest works, while lush and occasionally complex harmonies is a long-time staple.
Todd Burrer

In 1996, Todd left the education world to pursue business interests. Currently, he is a partner and Vice President of Inframark, LLC. At Inframark, he is responsible for the water/wastewater activities leading 750 employees who manage 275 utility districts that serve over 650,000 Texans. He is Past-Chairman of the Greens Bayou Coalition, serves on the Board of Directors for the West Houston Association and the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. In 2021, he was appointed to serve as a regional representative for the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning group by Governor Abbot.
Todd is very involved in community arts. In 2014, he accepted an invitation to serve at Lakewood UMC as Director of Instrumental Music. Through the support of the generous congregation of Lakewood UMC and the Tomball community, he founded and serves as artistic director of two ensembles – The Prevailing Winds, a community based wind band and The Fellowship of the Swing, a community based big band. Both groups provide free music for community events such as veterans celebrations, retirement centers, homeless shelters and other community based organizations. He also serves as general manager and associate conductor of the Curt Wilson Alumni Big Band (CWABB). This group of TCU alumni performs at prestigious jazz festivals around the world. Recent tours have included England, France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
